Nimbu Paani (Lemonade)

Nimbu or Lemon are quintessential ingredients in many Indian grills & salad. But, why would we keep these wonderful citrus fruit away from our drinks. Lemonade is of course one drink, which we all love and it comes in as many different forms as the number of dishes which are uplifted with lemon around the world.

This is an Indian style of lemonade and of course it has spices.

Here is Recipe

Serves 2

What you need? (Ingredients)

400 ml of Water

1 large sized lemon / 2 small sized lemon

1 tsp of sugar

1/2 tsp of pepper powder

1 tsp of toasted cumin seeds

2-4 fresh mint leaves

Salt to taste

Few ice cubes

Method

  1. Mix sugar, salt and lemon juice together.
  2. In a cold glass (Put the glass in freezer for few minutes), put in mint leaves and toasted cumin seeds and crush them lightly with back of wooden spoon,
  3. Add ice cubes and pour the lemon mixture in glass.
  4. Serve on its own or with your curry laden food.
